Biography

Derek Haverland's current body of work includes etched glass and meticulously hand-stitched needlework pieces that address issues of the family, loss and regeneration. He has shown in several group exhibitions in San Francisco and Chicago. He received a B.S. in Art Education from Northern Illinois University in 1995 and received his M.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2008. Haverland lives and works in the Chicagoland area.
